Here I'll Stay - The Legacy of Pisek, North Dakota

This historical fiction is centered in the northeastern North Dakota town of Pisek and begins in the early 1880s.
Author Mark Rumreich bases this story around the Ruml family, which resembles his own family of Czech immigrants to the community. Like hundreds of other towns settled by immigrants, the hopes and dreams of prosperity, growth and longevity do not necessarily meet the reality of its destiny 150 years later. Yet, in each community lies the individual drama of those who settle there seeking a new life and greater opportunities.
This story also touches on the universal experience of all immigrants who leave many of their customs and old ways behind as they assimilate into a new culture.
